Jason was originally bought by us to export to South Africa, however when things went wrong, we decided to move to the horse. Because it took us so long to move to Canada (9 months), he spent the summer with a mare called Donegal Josephine, and unfortunately Josephine kicked him in the face. The entire left side of his face suffered nerve damage. But he uses this to his advantage to get extra cuddles! As for his conformation, he has the typical American Clyde look. He is tall and and has really good bone. This horse would be a superb dressage horse, he is super light on his feet and just carries himself extremely well. He is also very well behaved. He currently lives in the same paddock as his son, and they have a ball together, they are constantly playing around. He may be 14 years old, but he sure plays around like a 2 year old! Jason is the sire to Nickweb Fred and Nickweb Indiana Rose.

UPDATE

In 2021 we noticed that Jason's health had rapidly declined. We called the vet and it was his suspicion that because of the nerve damage he suffered years ago, it had taken it's toll on his body and the muscles were starting to atrophy.

So it was with a heavy heart that we decided that he should go to horsey Heaven. The vet advised that with some medication we could keep him going a little longer, but with Winter fast approaching, we thought it more humane to let him go before the pain got worse.
